Jungheinrich Singapore Celebrates 25 Years of Material Flow Excellence
Founded on 21 February 2001 as Jungheinrich's first country unit in Asia-Pacific, Jungheinrich Singapore has grown from a team of just 10 pioneering employees into one of the region's leading material handling providers.
Over the past 25 years, Singapore has played an important role in supporting Jungheinrich's expansion across APAC, from establishing the first Partners of Jungheinrich in Indonesia and the Philippines to serving today as a regional hub supporting multiple business functions across the region.
Throughout its journey, Jungheinrich Singapore has continuously invested in innovation and customer support. Key milestones include the relocation to its current facility at 7 Joo Koon Way, the implementation of its first Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) system in Singapore, and the establishment of the APAC Regional Distribution Centre for spare parts, which today helps ensure fast and reliable spare parts availability across the region. More recently, the opening of the Jungheinrich Singapore Experience Centre has created a platform for customers, partners, and students alike to experience the future of material handling through automation, connected solutions, and warehouse innovation.
Alongside business growth, sustainability and people development have become integral to Jungheinrich Singapore's vision. Initiatives such as the Environment Wins Twice campaign, the company's commitment to achieving carbon neutrality for Scope 1 emissions by 2030, and its certification as a Great Place To Work® in 2025 reflect a long-term commitment to creating value for customers, employees, and communities alike.
Today, Jungheinrich Singapore comprises a team of approximately 150 employees, supported by 50 service technicians delivering industry-leading service standards. With more than 7,000 machines operating in the market, over 100 warehouse solutions implemented, and a strong position in Singapore's electrified material handling sector, the company continues to play a significant role in supporting the evolution of the nation's logistics industry.
